We can dial 911 only in case of an emergency, however in the movie The Call its more than that! No spoilers here but a great interview with Academy Award nominated composer John Debney.
John has composed for many movies and television shows including The Passion of the Christ, The Hot Chick (wait for a smart-ass comment from Jeff on that one), Liar Liar, IronMan 2 and so much more to list here. John has never been type-cast to one genre of movie, or musical style yet comes up with the hair raising scores in The Call. There are a few tracks I would say you best have the lights on when you have time to listen.
RunTime 24:34 You can follow John Here, and also Costa Communications.
Thanks for your support, and thanks for listening as well. Onward to iscifi.tv….
Ken’s work with over 100 books and short story from sci-fi to the weird to the politics from the mind of a great friend we lost in 2009 to cancer. Even in death Ken was a teacher as he donated his body to science. Our sit down is a comedy of errors for sure but Ken is such a great guy I wanted to share this with our fans as well. Ken works live on even with the passing of his mortal body. You can find his published works here and many short stories. We hope you enjoy a truly down to earth man and fellow sci-fi geek as well.
Episode 410 we talk with John Kera the producer of a movie Omega1 which is in pre-production.
John is also a CEO of a film production and distribution company that focuses on independent films with well-developed concepts. Currently called http://whirlwindpics.com/ . During our conversation John tell us that his company name will be changing to avoid any legal issue and to better market him as a movie producer. You know what they say its all in a name (grin). You can find out more about this movie and John on Facebook
News for tonight Microsoft application in the cloud (via web for the neebies out there) when Office 2010 release today prompts Microsoft to allow you to edit and create documents and spreadsheets without anything to install aside from having a browser. this feature will be slated some time in June 2010. Also Iron Man2 is kicking ass in the box office and isnt worried that the release of Robin Hood will do much hard to the money making monster. Did Thor do something to the economy as we are seeing more movies that we have ever before but complain about the price of gas at the pump!

Nightbeasts a new horror thriller coming soon , written and directed by Wes Sullivan. The movie dives into the legend of Sasquatch or bigfoot as it is commonly called. Not only does Wes enjoy his job as writer and director, but he researched the legend of Sasquatch and even from the Native American Indians, whom have many stories of the beast the walks, or the creature of the night.
We have the chance to talk with Wes about his style, his passion and the willingness to be not only the man behind the camera, but the man with pen in hand, to take queues from the cast members and create a story that should not only entertain, inform but also scare the hell out of you at some point. Wes does not go for the juglar vein but you will find out from our interview there are a few surprises in this movie. I avoid spoilers and we know the public will love to see Nightbeasts when the movie is released hopefully in the near future.
Michael Wandmacher the composer of the soundtrack behind Punisher War Zone in theaters Dec , 5 2008 and My Bloody Valentine Sits down with iscifi.tv to talk about his work, the fires in L.A and his video game playing as well.
From Sylar to Spock , and “24” Zachary Quinto is a man of many talents. His style today reminds me of a young Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent. Zach asked that no photo were taken, but we do have this segment on video as well for later publication. I asked him about his discipline of a stage actor to a big screen and television actor and how it all meshes together.
Zachary Won Gene Kelly Award in High School for his part as General in Pirates of Penzance, and now has quite a following in the science fiction fan base.
He has always been someone I wanted to meet, he has played great charaters like Jayne Cobb (“Firefly”), John Casey (“Chuck”), Capt. Wilkins in The Patriot with Mel Gibson. Meeting Adam was great, I was bit nervous and muddled my way through this segment. When adam walked into the room, his 6 foot 4 frame filled the doorway!, he stated with his sarcastic whit he has ‘ damn, is it hot enough in here..’ , we were crammed into a hotel suite in the corner and in the middle of the day it was a bit warm. My co-host Christine, was so jazzed to meet Adam it was like being in high school all over again, she has 100s of questions to ask but when Adam walked in she turned white like a ghost.
Enjoy this segment recorded while at StarFest in Denver Colorado.
